Juneau, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Hwy 26 South leaving the City of Juneau
The officer sits on the side road at end of 30mph zone and beginning of 45mph. 30mph down hill becomes 45mph. Clock on hill by city officer (30mph) and stop in 45mph just before 55mph. Anything over 30 is a ticket.
State Highway 26 near State Highway 33
A cop or cops will sit in the Wild Goose Trail parking lot about 1/10th of a mile from the intersection of Hwy 33 and 26. They usually catch people going southbound on 26 into Juneau, but also get people going westbound on 33. Don’t do anything stupid at this intersection. they also like to sit in the BP parking lot too, pretty sneaky.
About a mile down the road on 26, they also like to sit in the Dodge County Airport Parking lot and catch people going either direction on 26. It’s hard to see them a lot of the time, and the only reason I know they do it is because I work there and have to deal with them sometimes. once in a while we see a Wisconsin Patrol airplane come in for fuel, so i think they will trap you around here too. Don’t do more than 61-63 however and you will be good. theyll bust you for going over 65 though
Hwy 26 coming from the south
Officers like to sit by the school and catch people who do not slow down coming into town from Hwy 26. Changed the speed limit by the school to 45 then 25. Side street (south Ave) is posted at 15 mph. No excuses and you will not be able to view radar. I was told by city attorney that if he raised the fine, I could get an additional point back. So, the city of Juneau is into selling points back to speeders, all you have to do is settle before the court date.
