The police car will be tucked back into the cattails so they aren’t visible to cars as they’re traveling…usually at speeds higher than the 45 mph that is posted.
Interstate I94 near County Trunk Hwy G
Northbound I94 traffic at Hwy G. One (non-uniformed) deputy on top of overpass with Laser Reader. 6 Racine County Sherrif’s cars (Not visible on other side of overpass) dispached to pull over cars going (probably more than 10 mph) over the 65 mph limit. Like spearing fish in a barrel. Racine county took over enforcement from cash-strapped State Patrol recently.
State Route 11 near County Trunk H
Traffic control officer is positioned facing north in the railroad track easement on the east side of Cty. H. with his back bumper near the track rail. There is a ridge of brush on the north side with a low spot and that is the view point of the officer for south bound cars especially. It is nearly impossible for anyone going south through the industrial park to see what is viewing his southbound movement.
State Highway 20 near East Frontage Road
A sherrif will sit in an unmarked van, usually gray and non-descript, parked in a driveway of an abandoned looking farm about 1/2 east of the freeway/frontage road taking radar while another officer intercepts speeders.
State Highway G 6 mile road near State Highway 31
Caledonia cops will sit in the Kennel Club’s parking lot, driveway and they will also sit in the empty stone gravel parking lot near Brossman’s on the corner of HWY G and Hwy 31. They are there late nite (bar close) and early AM. 3am-6am range.
