Rhinelander, Wisconsin Speed Traps
Hwy 8 bypass south of town
Hwy 8 runs south of Rhinelander, bypasses the town completely. However, the posted speed is 45MPH from approx 1/2 mile east of where Hwy. 17 turns north, all the way to Kemp St.
From there, if you go straight(north/west), 8 becomes Hwy. 47(Hwy. 8 branches south/west at Kemp). This 45MPH continues north on Hwy.47 until Forest Ln./Larsen Dr. for a total of 5 miles.
3/4 of said stretch can easily support 55MPH as there is hardly anything east of Kemp on 8, and not a whole heck of a lot north/west of Kemp on 47. But that stretch is patrolled.
