Sturtevant, Wisconsin Speed Traps
On Braun rd. from 90th street till the railroad tracks.
Sturtevant Cops like sitting at night backed out on Braun rd. The little section from 90th street to the railroad tracks is 35 MPH. Most of Braun rd. is 45. So if your not careful you go from 45 to 35 real quick in the very short distance to the railroad tracks after the tracks its back to 45.
Hwy. H between Hwy. 11 and Hwy. 20
There are often cops in this strectch, and they are usually hidden well…to the point where you can’t see them. The limit is 35, but I went 41 past a cop once with no ill effects. They’re probably trying to catch people going "fast around the curves", or those going to the theatre.
Interstate 94 and Hwy, South bound on and off ramps
There is often a County and or State Patrol Just over the hill on the South bound side of the freeway. Radar detector isn’t showing them, so they must be using a timing method.
Southbound lanes of Interstate 94 and Hwy 11 ramps
Both State and County Sherrifs office sit in wait just over the hill.
State Highway 11 near N/S train tracks on west side of town
Coming into sturtevant from the west on Hwy 11, a cop usualy sits in the parking lot of the Hiawatha bar, or the US Bank. Currently a cop who has pulled people over is unnecessarily rude and to the point of offensive, if you’re pulled over by him (and you’ll know) best just to sit and smile.
