Watertown, Wisconsin Speed Traps
North 4th St. near Hill St.
This speed trap is normally done at dark in the early morning or late at night (when the bars close). When going out of town on north 4th street, police hide in the shadows on the opposite side of the street near Hill Street (on the south bound side of the street going into town). A large tree over hanging the street blocks the light from the street lights. You won’t see them until it’s too late. Slow down at the Rock River bridge and you should be fine. Speed limit is 25mph.
Located on the West Road at the west edge of town
The police like to sit a block or so back in a sub division on the south side of the road. It seems like your still in the country, but your actually in the city and the speed limit at that point 30 mph.
Bottom of the Boughton Street Hill
Cops love to sit at the bottom of the hill on Boughton Street early in the morning around 6ish and in the afternoon around 5.
West St & Dayton St
Police will frequently sit at this corner, completely concealed due to rental garages. They hid behind the last garage unit and face West Street or can face North on Dayton. The speed limit is 30 on West which can lead people to drive faster.
N Water Street near Silver Creek
Officer parks in Far corner of lot. When coming North on Water St. it is impossible to see him until it is much to late.
