Wautoma, Wisconsin Speed Traps
State Highway 21 near Cottonville Court
Heading east on Hwy 21 about 3-1/2 miles west of Wautoma, WI after rounding a curve at clearly marked Cottonville Ct, on a straight section following the curve is a group of white farm buildings. A state patrolman can park between the buildings with a clear view of Hwy 21 after Cottonville Ct. You won’t likely see him as the white farm buildings he has a view between are a visual distraction. If you are driving west, you will likely see him before he clocks you from behind after you have passed by his car.
US Highway 39 near State Highway 21
State Patrol Officers sit on Hwy. 21 overpass, radar used on traffic going North/South on Hwy. 39. I travel this stretch quite a bit during week days, and see officers there 3 out of 4 times. I have been pulled over three times in the same stretch of highway, and received one ticket.
State Highway 73 near Downtown main drag
From the south, the posted speed limit goes from 45 to 25 as you go through town. There’s even one of those things that flashes your speed as you pass, planted in front of the courthouse. But The Worst Part – is coming into town on Route 73 from the North. The speed limit goes from 55 to 25 in only about 50 yards. Way Unrealistic & unfortunate if it’s your first time or you don’t notice the sign. Basically, your best bet as you drive through town is to not even use your gas pedal; you’ll roll through this flat road at 25 mph without even trying.
