Frannie, Wyoming Speed Traps
Both ends of town and 1 in center of town
Today (10/6/2016) heading south there were 3 radar units 1 each north entry 1 on south entry and 1 in the center of town. All three had their radar units in operation. Amazing in town of maybe 200 people.
WY Hwy. 310 @ north end of Frannie, WY
Beware–A policeman waits in his personal unmarked dark gray SUV at the North end of town for those (who have lawfully come the two blocks thru town at 30 MPH) to anticipate the 70 MPH sign by a few feet so he can write them an expensive ticket for a few miles over. Note: as you enter town there is a 45 MPH deceleration zone, leading up to the 30 MPH zone, but as you exit town, there is no 45 MPH acceleration zone to the 70 MPH post. Also note that, since Wyoming raised the 65 MPH speed limits to 70 MPH the Law seems to have no tolerance for even one mile over the 70 MPH
30 miles per hour
Small town on the border of Wyoming with just 100 people but obviously making revenues off speeding tickets. Speed limit drops to 45mph then one block only of just 30mph and they will write you a ticket for anything over that 30mph in that one small block.
