Little Rock, Arkansas Speed Traps
JFK Boulevard near H Street
Officer on motorcycle sits in front of Park Hill Florist with his radar pointed South on JFK. If he catches you speeding, he steps out into the street and instructs you to pull around the corner on H street. He is there every morning during rush hour.

University Avenue near V Street
Driving North on University Avenue, in the driveway of the UALR president’s house, police radar on a regular basis. The area is in between the Heights and Cammack Village. I have seen police there often, but the times vary. The speed limit changes from 30mph to 25mph and they are waiting to pull you over. Often, they will follow you in order to scare you as well even if you are not speeding. I believe they use this tactic to intimidate drivers who live in the area.
Green Mountain Drive near Rodney Parham Road
Police will sit all along this street and will pull anyone over not obeying the 25 mph limit. They love the side streets like Regal Ct., etc. I have also seen them in the parking lot at the liquor store on Rodney Parham in the morning rush.
Markham Road near Rodney Parham Road
Coming from Mississippi, police love to sit at the carwash at the bottom of a small hill and will pull anyone over that is speeding through the Brady Elementary school zone. Radar enforced, they will just step out into the street and wave people in. Happens quite regularly.
Cantrell Road near Dillard’s Corporate Offices
Police will park west of the entrance to the Episcopal Collegiate School across from the Dillard’s corporate offices. They will radar vehicles in the east bound lanes just over the train viaduct past the entrance to Cajun’s Wharf as you travel towards downtown. Speed limit is 35. I have seen them there all times of the day, but more often during the morning rush.
