Concord, California Speed Traps
Kirker Pass Road near near the pavilion
Coming down Kirker Pass Road into Concord the Polce set on their motorcycles at the bottom of the hill and shoot you on radar. Its very difficult not to go over the posted speed limit of 55moh without riding your brakes the entire way. This road is a 4 lane (2 manes each direction)and can accomodate 65mph very easily.
Bailey Road near Old Naval Guard Gate
Traveling west on Bailey Road on the Concord side you are going down a pretty steep grade where the posted speed limit is 45 mph. Its nearing impossible to hold your vehicle to this speed as you are going down hill and the road is fairly straight.
Concord Boulevard near Ayers Road
Proceeding west (towards downtown) on Concord Blvd past Ayers Road, there are often motorcycle cops hiding in the sidestreets. The posted speed limit is 35mph but the traffic often flows much faster.
Willow Pass Road near Ashdale Drive
As you are coming from the freeway, right after you enter the city portion of Willow pass rd, you will have condos on the left and an old tan apartment complex on the right. Usually it will be a motorcycle cop hiding behind the dumpster enclosure in the parking lot of the tan apt. complex using radar. By the time you notice him, it is too late. Speed limit is posted at 35, but most cars are still moving at or near 50, as you first come into town from the Naval Weapons station.
Ygnacio Valley Road
Motorcycle cops usually sit at the entrance to Cal State East Bay Concord Campus, trying to catch drivers going towards the Concord Pavilion on Ygnacio.
