Minert Road near Oak Grove Road
All along Minert Road, from Bancroft to San Simeon, there is heavy enforcement, especially between Oak Grove Road and San Simeon. This is a residential area where people tend to shortcut and speed through well above the 25mph limit.
Willow Pass Road near Liquoir Store / Old Motels
If you are coming from the freeway, past the naval weapons station and into concord, you will see on your left an old gas station/liquour store as well as older motels. Here, on these driveways, hididng behind bushes, signs etc you can fing motorcycle cops waiting to ruin your day with their radar guns.
Treat Boulevard near Lime Ridge Parking Lot
Cruising down Treat Blvd from Clayton road towards walnut creek, just before navarone way as you go down the hill on the right, in the lime ridge parking lot, you will sometimes see a pair of motorcycle cops in the parking lot waiting to make your day a bad one. The hill makes it easy to speed past the legal limit.
Willow Pass Road near Market Street
The intersection of Willow Pass Road and Market Street sees alot of accidents caused by red light violations.
Concord PD also likes to place Radar/Laser traps near the gas station accross from the California Auto Plaza car dealer, and further north down on Market St. at any location.
There is evidence of Laser being used at this location!
Willow Pass Road near US Highway Port Chicago
Those heading west on Willow Pass Road towards downtown can expect 1 or more radar traps on the left side. It is usually a motor officer standing in the small parking lot as you pass the intersection.
Speed limit is 35 MPH, but people travel way faster.
The trap can also be set on the right side about 50 yards further west, with the motor officer hiding in a driveway, so you can’t see him.
