Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
Sepulveda Boulevard near National Boulevard
There is almost on a daily basis during daytime hours where a motorcycle officer will stand on the corner of Sepulveda and Sardis (small street just north of National Blvd.) holding a radar gun targeting any vehicles heading southbound on Sepulveda. I’ve seen several cars getting pulled over on this corner. It’s definitely a trap because many drivers go fast on this street. Be careful!
Olympic Boulevard near Overland Avenue
Heavy early (6-7:00 AM) enforcement activity for speeders East and Westbound on Olympic Blvd between West Los Angeles and Century City.
Santa Monica Boulevard near Bundy Drive
There is a motorcycle officer on Santa Monica Blvd. (eastbound) hiding just past Bundy under some trees most weekday mornings. Speeding and Front Plates are the largest violations (from observation and personal experience)This spot is a QUOTA filler.
Sunset Boulevard near Marymount Road
Bike cop sits and waits on Marymount Road outside Marymount High School accross the street from UCLA. I’ve only seen him get Eastbound traffic on sunset.
Terminal Loop
Numerous (5-8) motorcycle cops sitting and waiting throughout LAX terminal access loop (upper level) for anyone speeding, no front plates, or no seatbelts. Beware.
