Los Angeles, California Speed Traps
Laurel Canyon Boulevard
Motorcycle officers hide in private driveways on the west side of Laurel Canyon, between Mulholland and Ventura Blvd. Some days there are only one or two officers, and other days there are five or six. It is easy to speed on Laurel Canyon, and that’s what they count on. Radar guns, and then a ticket, even early Sunday morning when you are headed to the bagel shop. Occasionally they also have one officer on the east side just about two blocks south of Ventura Blvd, to catch you as you speed up once you get past the officers dotting the private driveways on the west side of the boulevard, and you now think you are safe to speed. Beware.
Cahuenga West along the 101 in Cahuenga Pass
Heading away from the Valley towards Hollywood along Cahuenga West (as it fronts the 101). Downhill slope (naturally) as you come over the peak before getting to the Hollywood Bowl. Speed limit is 40, very easy to go faster with the downhill slope. Motorcycle cop waiting 1100 ft North of Hillpark Drive.
La Tijera Blvd offramp from Southbound 405 Freeway
"No right on red" signs located at this intersection as you exit freeway. Police car or police motoycle sits in the post office lot just west of the intersection.

on San Vicente, just east of Fairfax
There are usually 3-4 motorcycle police officers waiting at the corner each morning from about 6-9am and intermittently throughout the day.

Westbound between Capri and Minorca Dr. Weekdays,8am and after. This is a nice straight stretch of Sunset and you cant see them until they have already got you, there is a catering truck usually on the right and they are after that,on foot and just waving in the unfortunate.
