Mission Viejo, California Speed Traps

This is a favorite spot for the dreaded Mission Viejo Motorcycle cops. There are four of them in MV and you will occasionally find all four here! Posted limit is 30 – used to be 35 so many locals still get caught if not paying attention. Mission Viejo Motorcyle cops are VERY agressive with their ticketing so look out!

Motor usually sits on Pinecrest next to trees and nails cars as they coast down the hill. Posted at 50MPH. Not uncommon to see cars traveling at 60-65MPH.

Mission Viejo is a speed trap – the whole city! This particular trap was being patrolled by several motorcycle cops and they were having a field day.

Must be unmarked trap so no signs,marked cars or bikes,and on 24-7

Going downhill you easily can coast over the limit and you don’t see the officer in the shadows of the large trees as you round the bend.
