Mission Viejo, California Speed Traps
El Paseo Road near Dairy Queen
Trap is located on the railroad side/southbound side of El Paseo with a sort of public works access driveway where the motorcycle police sit. They have a clear view down the majority of El Paseo – northbound and southbound – before it rises to the overpass section and street light at Cabot Rd. Enforcement varies by time of day.
I-5 between Oso and La Paz exits
spotted cops on several occasions hiding behind gaps in the center divider patrolling traffic. tricky tricky…
Marguerite Parkway and Claro
The motorcycle cops will usually sit on the sidewalk on Marguerite just south of Claro in the northbound lanes. They are catching speeders right and left as they come over the top of the hill from Felipe. When you see this dude, there are usually three to four others in the area.
Most major city streets
As of about April/2003, most major streets in M.V. speed limits that were 45mph were lowered to 40, over a period of 2 or 3 months. The Mission Viejo division of the Orange Cty.Sheriffs have been working very hard to make the citizens
aware of the speed limits with the use of the laser gun. The entire city is a speed trap! Beware, traps are selective, i.e.= not the same street, same place, every day.
Via Linda and Madero
