Mission Viejo, California Speed Traps
Santa Margarita Boulevard near Alicia Parkway
As you leave Rancho Santa Margarita, heading toward MV and Lake Forest. Just as you pass Alicia, there isa OC sheriff seating on the uphill side of the road, catching the going home crowd. Speed is 55, but very easy to get going 60+. Watch out.
Jeronimo Road near Olympiad Road
I’ve seen motorcycle cops literally parked on the bike/walking trail between Silleros and Arbolitos and between Arbolitos and the two entrances to the Oso Creek Trail. They’re hard to see because they are always in the shade.
Oso Street near Marguerite Parkway
Motorcycle policeman parks by the tree as you pass Pavillions Market. You can’t see him because of the tree. Also checks who crosses bike lane to make a right.
Los Alisos Boulevard near Muirlands Drive
AM morning traffic heading south on Los Alisos, as you pass Jeronimo and come over hill… WATCH OUT! Usually two moto-cops sit in public park on right side at corner of Los Alisos/Muirlands. They radar 300-400 ft ALL THE WAY back up the hill as your coming down. You dont see them until they’ve nailed you 200 ft BEFORE you even pass them. Nasty.
Los Alisos Boulevard near Trabuco
Motorcycles with radars are waiting for people to drive down hill from Santa Maragarita Pkwy, or Vista Del Lago heading west. They wait by the stores at Trabuco ~ the donut shop, the auto shop and catch you. Usually in the mornings ~ but sometimes all day!
