Collwood Street near Montezuma Street
A motorcycle cop (sometimes 2 motorcycle cops) sit on Collwood facing Northbound drivers who tend to speed driving up Collwood from Montezuma towards El Cajon Blvd. They sit in the shade of the driveway of the condos on the West side of the street, or sometimes park their motorbikes between parked cars.
Genesee Street near Governer Street
Two to three officers sit on the right side of the road between utc and governer road on genesee. They will clock you as you go downhill and you will see them on the top of the next up hill as you are going south towards governer.
Collwood Street near Montezuma Road
Southbound traffic has officer sitting in shadows of tree lined street, so he can shoot both south and northbound traffic. The 35mph speed limit is hard to keep, most go 45 to 50. Weekends are a favorite time for them.
State Highway 52 near US Highway 805
Officer is waiting on side of road or in bushy median area with Radar/Laser gun for traffic from the 805 north merging to the 52 east. Every morning there is a person receiving a ticket when I pass by around 8am. I have known about this cop and I still was given a ticket. He had finished writing a ticket and visually gauged my speed. I didn’t fight I just went to traffic school. There are cops on both sides of the 52 betwen the 805 and Santo Road just sitting with their radar guns during morning and evening rush hour periods.
Fairmount Avenue near Montezuma Road
For those northbound on Fairmount – Motorcycle cop will sit in the darkness under the bridge (Montezuma Rd) or will occasionally be hiding on the onramp from Montezuma to Fairmount. Traffic heading southbound on Fairmount will often flash their lights at on-coming northbound traffic to warn of the trap. Be alert for this.
