San Diego, California Speed Traps

Going southbound up the hill into University Heights/North Park the speed limit is about 45 then once you come to the crest of the hill it lowers to 25. There are often cops on foot with radar who walk in front of your car and stop you if you go above 25. Its hard to see them because they crouch between parked cars and trees.

The cops sit at a cross street, at a stop sign. if you are traveling east on rio san diego towards the ikea and costco. before you get to fenton pkwy.. they dont usually get the speeders but they get for not stopping all the way at the stop sign. i sit in my apt. and see about 15 people getting pulled over in matter of minutes..

Officer parks in low area next to a small power plant on right side of interstate 5 south just past the Gillman entry and just before the Interstate 52 off ramp

On State Route 125 just north of Navajo Road (yes, they wait before Navajo too), the police will wait in the merge lane of the offramp to Grossmont College with radar/laser, while a second cop will wait on the on-ramp from Grossmont College Drive to catch the person. It is also done with one cop waiting on the on-ramp, and another waiting around the turn on the right median of the freeway.
