San Diego, California Speed Traps
Interstate 125
The newly completed 125/52 interchange attracts many hwy patrolers. If youre on 125 anywhere between the 52 and the 8 youre not safe! Going north or south, teams of 2 or more cops are set up under the bridge by grossmont hospital or hiding below the grade on 125 N at 52.
Genesse Road near 4600 block
As you head NB on Genesse from the shopping center where Pep Boys, Jack in the Box and Coxtias are, there is a dark strech of road. Cop usually hides in one of these side streets and waits for younger crowd that usually leave the mexican restaurant to speed by. Speed limit is 45 but it’s very easy to get up to 90 mph (trust me I know 😉 ) Usually there late at night. haven’t seen him in the day time.
Sorrento Valley Boulevard near Bikepath Trail
Right at the bottom of this hill, look to your left at bikepath entrance. They hide bye the trees and radar, its great because, its a hill… and everyone speeds down it.
got clocked doing 70 in a 45.
Collwood bewtween El Cajon Blvd and Montizuma
One officer will sit on the west side of the street with Radar to catch those people going North in the morning. About half way down the hill will be 3 or 4 police cars that wave the speeders to the side of the road. The posted speed is 35MPH but the average speed is 45MPH
Mission trails entrance on corner of Mission Gorge and Jackson
If your not caught first on the grade going from Santee to San Diego or vise versa. You may want to look on the dirt road that enters Mission Trails. I live in the neighborhood and they always pulling people over there. They hide a little ways in so you cant see them untill its too late.
