Aurora, Colorado Speed Traps
Interstate 225 near Parker Road
The State of Colorado – knowing that it has deliberately created a massive death trap (with vastly overcrowded conditions, beyond what this Interstate is capable of accommodating, on the rest of this 2 lane Interstate from I-70 to Parker Road) now has realized a huge "cash cow" for state coffers by having an overabundance of state troopers with radar on both the N. And S. bound stretches of I-225 from Parker Road to the I-25 interchange (where the highway widens and frustrated drivers try to make up the lost time they have endured on the rest of this abysmal Interstate.)
Troopers are everywhere from standing in plain sight on the median with radar gun pointed, to hiding behind curves and walls. They know people are going to exceed speed limits in this area, based on the conditions on the rest of the Interstate and they are out to get everyone they can… Big time. Beware, this is a Huge speed trap the state has deliberately created.
East Florida Avenue near Parker Road
Be on the lookout when going West on E Florida towards Parker from Havana. I’ve seen Crown Vics, SUVs, and the new Police Charger. They hide behind the fence of an apartment lot. I’ve also seen police sitting in the church lot on Florida and Alton.
Type of trap is unknown, but I’ll assume it’s Laser. My Valientine 1 detector has not gone off while driving by, but I assume they are not shooting me since I do the limit or less in that area.
Hampden Avenue near Buckley Road
Hampden Ave and Telluride St Aurora Motor units sit in the Pine Trees in front of Madison Apartments and shoot thier speed guns at West Bound Traffic from Uravan St on Hampden Ave.
Himalaya Street near Hampden Avenue
Arapahoe Sheriffs Office is always in the area of Hampden Ave and Himalaya St and in the housing areas with speed traps.
