Centennial, Colorado Speed Traps
Yosemite Street near I-25 and East Arapahoe Rd.
Traveling south on Yosemite Street between Orchard and Arapahoe, I was in the left turn lane to turn East on to East Arapahoe Rd. and the signal short cycles during heavy traffic letting only 3 or 4 cars through encouraging you to run the yellow. But don’t run the yellow at this intersection! Look to your right, just above the walk/don’t walk sign on the far pole is a photo radar box. If you see the flash, you’re nabbed. This is a Very poorly planned overpass/intersection especially after they spent a Billion on T-REX with no improvements to East/West bound traffic flow. Just be patient!
Parker Road near Broncos Parkway Crossing
Police will sit approx. 1/2 mile south of Broncos Parkway on Parker Rd monitoring North bound traffic. Police usually are on motorcycles and are impossible to spot behind tree’s/brush. Approx time from 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Smokey Hill Road near Telluride Street
You can very often (especially during the evening rush hour) you can see a police car hiding on Telluride measuring the speeds of the cars going West on Sokey Hill (from Tower toward Buckley). They are hard to see so be careful.
Dry Creek Road
On Dry Creek Road there are 2 elementary schools. And there is usually a cop parked inside the school zone. The speed limit is 25 during school hours. And the cop will pull you over for going 4 miles over.
Peoria Road near Arapahoe Road
This area has a road that leads you south of the intersection. Most people pull a u-turn to get back to Arapahoe Road. A cop will sit there and write tickets for u-turns despite their being no easy way to get back to Arapahoe Road.
