Powers Boulevard near Fountain Boulevard
Powers Blvd South at Fountain Blvd Intersection. Posted speed limit drops from 55, 50 then to 45 MPH for less than a half mile, then raises back to 50. This is only Southbound Powers. The Colo Spgs motorcycle cops patrol there daily, waiting for victims. There is no difference in traffic from Northbound to Southbound, an obvious speed trap. The speed limit should be 50 straight thru, the same as Nothbound Powers Blvd.
Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard
Watch out, even though school is out for the summer. the law enforcement is out on the highways..catching u and me..
Powers Boulevard near Barnes Road
On Powers South from Stetson Hills Blvd, Powers is a pretty steep hill. By the time you reach the top you have had to use heavy accelerator pressure to reach the speed limit, but then you are starting downhill and naturally, your speed increases. Usually there will two or three motorcycle cops hiding behind the bushes in the median. It’s not too bad in the winter, but from early June until about October, they are there.
