Colorado Springs, Colorado Speed Traps

Police have started posting a radar where you can see your speed on this road. Many times I see the cops sitting off on a side street waiting for people that are speeding. This is on Jetwing between Fountain and Powers. The speed limit 35

Section of Tutt between Barnes and Stetson Hills is post at 30 mph. It is common to see a police vehicle positioned near the top of the hill with radar gun in hand. The portions of Tutt south of Barnes and north of Stetson Hills is posted at 35mph. A person not familiar with driving Tutt may not notice the difference in speed limits. Have never seen a police vehicle parked checking speeds on the southern or northern portion.

Motorcycle cop sits at various locations on this stretch of Union Blvd. Since there is a center median he may be on either side of the road at any given time. The most difficult spot to see him is at the bottom of the hill on the west side of Union where he sits behind bushes shooting southbound vehicles. The speed limit is 35-40 but the hill makes it easy to exceed speed limit quickly unless brakes are used.

I work off of 8th and Acrturus, and I see them pulling people over All Day Long! They either sit down by the abandoned gas station closer to Skyway blvd, or in the shopping center across from 7-11 and the storage place! Look out cause they’ll get ya! They also like to look for people who run that red light on 8th and Arcturus, along with people that run the stop sign at Skyway and Arcturus! It’s normally 2 motorcycle cops!

Unmarked cars and motorcycle cops hiding behind bushes at the Ute Valley Park parking lot. Catching cars coming off of 40MPH Centennial going downhill into 35MPH Vindicator. They only shoot downhill drivers.
