Colorado Springs, Colorado Speed Traps
Powers Blvd. North of Union Blvd. Intersection
North bound on Powers just up the hill from the Union intersection. Radar in car parked in median. Then, about a mile or two further North on Powers sits a second radar unit. This assumes that if your detector went off at the first radar that surely there wouldn’t be a second radar up the road. This is always during the dark morning commute hours. Since the city council didn’t get their 2009 proposed tax hike expect more tickets everywhere in Colorado Springs!
Southbound I-25 after Briargate & before Woodmen
Highway Patrol likes to hide just behind a tree here. You can see him if you’re getting onto I-25 from Woodmen, but if you’re already on the Interstate, you can’t see him until it’s too late and he’s in your rear-view mirror. Especially seen here during the early morning commute hours, I’ve personally witnessed him arriving around 6:30am and seen him still there around 7am
Northbound Union Blvd just north of Vickers.
I often see cops hiding on the side streets and office building lots north of Vickers on Union at the top of the hill there running radar on northbound traffic.
Martin Luther Highway Overpass Bridge
Police officers Motorcycle stands on top of the bridge above I 25 and shoot’s his laser gun at you as you drive south and north on I 25. Then another cop is being told who sits ready do on the of ramps from Martin Luther Highway bypass!
