The speed limit drops from 40 to 30 just as the road narrows to two lanes as you head East between Colorado and Holly. There is a police officer who likes to sit in either the School Parking lot or just across from the school. The section of road is down hill just enough so that your car won’t coast down to 30.
Thornton Parkway near York Street
Officers are in their vehicals parked in the baseball field parking lot and radar drivers going east and west different times 24/7.
County Trunk 2 near County Trunk 11
Patrol cars will sit under the trees at York and by the gas well pull-off. Motorcycles will sit in the driveway to the sewage plant. The work mostly daytimes, but any day of the week.
Washington Street near Russell Boulevard
Thornton police (2-4) motorcycles sit in parking lots of businesses at all times of the day, especially weekends. The posted limits are 35mph but traffic moves at higher speeds especially on the hills. The motorcycles regularly move between 92nd and 88th on Washington so the are never in the same place twice.
