Beauclerc Road near San Jose Boulevard

Jacksonville, FloridaFeb 06, 20081 Comments

Typically in the morning and evening rush hours, but have seen them out anytime of the day. Motorcycle cops set up a radar trap about 0.5 miles down from San Jose. Will get you in either direction. The road is a major cut through for anyone going into Beauclerc and Mandarin area. The 30 mph is unrealistically too low – should be 35 or 40, which most using the road travel. They will pull you over for pretty much anything over 30.

9A Connector Expressway near Arlington Expressway

Jacksonville, FloridaJan 27, 20080 Comments

Heading East on Arlington Expy. onto the new overpass to the Northbound 9A/Southside connector, as you come around on the overpass they are waiting at the bottom most of the time. I am still not sure what the speed limit is there (45?), it changes several times on the connector apparently. Speed limit is 50 on the Expressway before the overpass.

Southside Boulevard near Beach Boulevard

Jacksonville, FloridaJan 27, 20080 Comments

Most days, when the weather is good (makes sense), especially at mid-day but not exclusively, traveling North on Southside Boulevard as you cross the new overpass rise, cops will be shooting Laser from the right shoulder between main road and service road and two or three are there to pursue. Occasionally same going Southbound.

Fort Caroline Road near East side of US Highway 9A Overpass

Jacksonville, FloridaJan 15, 20080 Comments

Marked car parked on either side of Ft Caroline Road under shade trees. Policeman stands on side of road with radar gun. Hard to see until you get across 9A overpass, then it’s too late. Speed limit posted is 35, but average traffic is @45.
