Interstate 10 near Interstate 295

Jacksonville, FloridaJul 30, 20070 Comments

JSO or FHP car sits on the eastbound shoulder where the I-295 North ramp joins onto I-10 East. If you come off that ramp doing over 60, you just may get yourself a ticket. Problem is, I-295 is 65 MPH and I-10 at this point is down to 55. You may get by with a 60 MPH speed but above that, you’re on you’re taking a chance. He burns people all day, at will.

Southside Blvd. Bypass near Interstate 95

Both FHP and JSO sit on the Southside Blvd. overpass onto I-95 pointing their radar guns north onto I-95. Usually one or two officers are on the overpass with radars while a fleet of cars and motorcycles are waiting further south (just before US 1 exchange).

I saw the trap as I was going from I-95 onto I-295. The police monitor the on ramp just as you are beginning to speed up to merge into traffic. Because this area is very congested during the week, this trap is only in effect during the weekends when not many cars are merging.

I295 nb between dunn ave and pulaski FHP (Florida highway patrol,JSO(Jacksonville sheriffs office) FDOT( Florida department of transportation have been doing an explosive speed trap where they are stopping anyone who doing 5 mph over the limit. they are writing tickets not warnings and they are using the construction zone decoy or an officer with a car already pulled over decoy or the survey crew decoy. there will be a black impala with the trunk open, a ford explorer silver in color with the trunk open or a dodge charger pulled over by a marked jso or fhp car with the apparent driver of the car and an officer talking. they are using unmarked cars that are riding along the roadways. the ones i have spotted are a red dodge charger with tented windows, a new model chevy tahoe blue in color and a chrylser 300 black in color. yes a chrysler 300. so be careful fellow northsiders.
