Bird Road, Between the palmetto and 57 Ave
They target drivers coming from Coconut Grove at night mainly to catch Drunk Drivers. However, the speed limit is strictly enforced.
NW 72 Avenue from NW 7 Street to 3 Street
This road is very wide with a median, yet it has a very low 30 mph speed limit. Miami-Dade Police target drivers traveling southbound that come from the overpass over State Road 836, and those that turn south from NW 7 Street.
NW 11 Street from 22 Avenue to 27th Avenue
This road has a grassy median with trees where officers park their motorcycles west of the State Road 836 underpass, usually around 24th Avenue.
Delaware Parkway between NW 27th and 37 Avenues
This road curves and is not congested. Speed limit is set too low at 30 mph. It’s safe to drive at 40 to 45 mph, and Miami Police will write drivers for as little as 42 mph.
SW 117 Ave. between 24 and 28 Streets
Miami-Dade County officers spend the midnight shift almost every day writing speeding tickets to drivers on SW 117 Ave. which runs parallel to the Turnpike. They target north and south bound traffic near the SW 24 Street (Coral Way) underpass.
