Ocala, Florida Speed Traps
SW 38th Ave
There is a spot between SW 66th Ave and 80th Ave where a Motorcycle office from MCSO site during the day. The spot is in front of what is (or was) an Islamic church. The trees in this section provide a canopy over the road making it nearly impossible to see this officer. I have also seen a marked patrol car at the edge of this same property sitting back (past the tree line) from the road. Driver beware
Interstate 75
There are many Florida Highway Patrol vehicles alone a 30-60 mile stretch along the areamile marker from the first Ocala Exit going north bound and exit 329 going south bound.
North Magnolia Avenue
OPD will sit at the end of the s-curve hill past Bee-Personal, in the SSI Office parking lot and closk you coming from the hill and the curve, I have seen many people one right after the other. this is done usually on Sundays in the early to mid AM, not during the week, due to traffic, hope this helps.
NE 35th Street near Baseline Avenue
FHP sits on NE 35th Street in the grass of a church and pulls motorists over traveling both east and west. They usually have at least 3-4 units there. Speed limit is 35 there and they enforce it!
Interstate 75
Two FHP’s sitting in the median, one with a laser, and the other, merely a chaser. Refuse to take into consideration any other drivers adjacent or beside you that could possibly be the culprit of the excessive laser readings.
