If you are heading North along 301 ( N. Washington Blvd.) the speed limit is 35mph. Most people assume it is 45mph since it is a major road of traffic. Until you get to 12th st.it is 35mph. Two or Three cops will be out there just before the railroad tracks. There is an abandoned KFC where they wait. I always would see them get people. Then one day I got nailed for 49 in 35. I said yeah it’s 45 right? They said 35. They got me on a Friday. They claim it is residential, however, the street is lined with businesses. They are concered that many people do walk across the street and have gotten hit.

At the Presbyterian Church, Across from the K-mart near 41 and beneva. They sit with motorcycles, K-9 and marked and unmarked cars, they radar you and pull you over. I called and complained because my son attends the daycare at the church, it’s an innapropriate place for a speed trap with all the babies and toddlers on the property. They were looking into if they were “following protocol”” so we will see if its still there. It’s very strict and they are concealed by trees if your heading south on 41.”

When heading south on 41 towards Sarasota Square Mall on the West side of 41-Cops will stand by the sign at the church and the wolf pack parks behind the sign or in the church driveway. The speed limit is 45, but with no major side streets and people tend to haul butt-careful, the “church cops”” will get ya! “

the radar is set up at entrance of church just north of us 41 and beneva.often in morning but can be at any time up to as many as 6 cars and motorcycles and an average of once a week
