Arlington Heights, Illinois Speed Traps

Police in cars, motorcylces in the summer months, will sit on side streets of this residential area. They sit just far enough back that by the time you see them it is too late. This street is used heavily as a short cut due to being located in a business area.

When coming off of highway I-90 on exit ramp to Arlington Heights road; there is a light many drivers need to wait till it turns green so they can go. There is a sign that says "No Turn on Red", and yet many driver on the right hand side, will still try to turn. And thats where they get you.

Arlington Heights police park in the Countryside Church Parking lot and scan all west bound traffic on Hintz Rd. Cars driving west on Hintz Rd. cannot see the police cars as a fence blocks your view until you are near the radar site. Many cars are ticketed at this location.

Southbound Arlington Heights Road between Central and Golf. One half mile north of Golf officer stands on parkway lawn with radar gun and radio’s ahead to motorcycle and police car officers who flag you over and issue the ticket.

The cop sits in the driveway of an "abandoned" house about 5 houses from the north stop sign on the east side of the street. There is also a lot of seatbelt checks and other traps in this area
