Gurnee, Illinois Speed Traps
Northwestern Avenue near Grandville Road
The trap is two fold. First is a seat belt trap where the squad car will be parked in a business parking lot just south of the intersection out of view with the officer on foot to flag down any un-seat belt drivers and passengers. Second, 1/4 mile north of the intersection, a squad car parks facing south on the west side of Northwestern far into a private drive – well camouflaged from unsuspecting drivers just getting off Rte 41. A ridiculous 30 mph zone that is strictly enforced.
