Carmel, Indiana Speed Traps

this is a great one. it is a red light that turns almost straight from green to red with no yellow. they have been pulling over hundreds of cars a week fo over 20 years. probably the worst place in the usa. also right after dark,a dozen or so, squad cars will pull over everything that moves even a few miles ove the speed limit. this goes on for about an hour.

The speed limit in Carmel school zones is 25 mph. That’s fine, except for the fact that the limit is in effect from 7AM-10PM EVERY DAY. (Yes, even Christmas). Even on the widest, safest roads, enforcement is common. Look out especially on E. 126th St. at Mohawk Trails Elementary School.
