Baton Rouge, Louisiana Speed Traps
South Harrells Ferry Rd, between Sherwood and Millerville
One cop is tagging people with a speed camera and then a large group of police vehicles further down the road afterwards is pulling people who were tagged over.
East bound entrance ramp Bluebonnet and I10
My wife entered eastbound entrance lane towards the entry ramp Bluebonnet I-10 eastbound on Thanksgiving morning. I was a passenger in the auto and at the moment the state trooper came out from her “surprise” position behind the overpass leading to the mall I observed her speedometer at certainly no greater than 50. Now she says my wife was going 62 on a 45 mph zone. Even if she was going 60 heck we are about to get on the interstate! And at best there was one other car in the area that passed us. We believe that’s the car that was going 62. Any way this isn’t protect and serve, its hey we got you pay up.
US Hwy 61 Southbound, about 1/2 mile south of Thomas Road
Baton Rouge PD will hide behide a group of trees at a crossover in the hwy. They use laser to target vehicles between Thomas Rd. and the railroad tracks. Look for cars in the crossover (they pull them over there), or watch for one walking out of the woods with a gun in his hand.
Stanford Ave (in front of Baton Rouge Beach)
Coming down Stanford Ave (away from Perkins Road, towards LSU) the speed limit drops from 45 to 35. The police are usually shooting radar from the parks entrance
Oak Villa Blvd and Choctaw
They sit right in the driveway of the BREC park on Oak Villa. You cant see them they hide behind the trees.
