Livonia, Michigan Speed Traps

Police set traps on the freeway. Beware.

Cops wait in parking lot of south entrance of office buldings (by Andiamos) and ticket drivers turning left from Haggerty onto Seven Mile W for turning on yellow/red light. I received $120.00 ticket for turning left on a yellow light.

A Livonia cop car stands at the entrance to a Ford facility just past the railroad strack bridge. He clocked me on his Laser Radar going 57 mph in a 45 MPH zone. The only problem was I had my cruise control set at 45 MPH. He told me his Laster Radar clocked me at a distance of 847 feet. This is impossible because the Laser Radar would have to go through a bridge which it Can’t Do. I fought the ticket in court and was told that if I pay $150 on an Impeding Traffic charge I would get no points. The ticket would have been $135 and 3 points. Something has to be done about this. The courts are working with the police to benefit the city funds.

Going South (toward Westland) on Middlebelt just past the Rail Road Tracks Livoina police like to sit on the West side of the street in the GM parking lot. Speed limit is only 40mph but hard to gage cause you’re going down hill. Be Careful.
