Livonia, Michigan Speed Traps

Livonia police frequently park anywhere from 1 or 2 unmarked cars in the median, behind some tall grass. Sometimes they are visible, sometimes not. If you stay within 10 mph of the limit (70), they generally won’t bother you.

Police park in the American Community driveway facing Seven Mile Road just east of Haggerty Road. You get nailed for going thru a yellow light and for speeding. Cops are there mostly during rush hour in the AM and PM; but I’ve seen them there during the middle of the day too. You can’t see them until you come up to the driveway.

Schoolcraft eastbound between Levan and Start. Speed limit is 35 and traffic is generally light. People go 45-55. Livonia sits in business driveways pointing some device at eastbounders.

I sit in my office @ 6/275 and watch Livonia and State trooper pull over car after car. Sometimes they have 2-3 pulled over at a time. This goes on all day.
