Northville, Michigan Speed Traps
Haggerty & 7 Mile
Cops hide regularly near this intersection, multiple vehicles, very aggressive
Sheldon rd between 6 and 7 mile
The police park in houses on the east side of sheldon. They are there often in the afternoon and weekend nights. Speed drops to 35 there.
Beck Rd just south of Eight Mile Rd (Base Line Rd)
Police car sits pointing north just south of Eight Mile Rd (Base Line Rd) on the small grass area up the curb on the side of the road that is clearly posted NO PARKING (I guess OK for him to break the law). The officer waits for cars coming down the hill. As driver approaches the down hill there is a limited visibility yellow sign at the point your looking down the hill (easily over looked) and there is a 2.75 tenths of a mile area that the speed limit is 35 mph going down the hill …before and after the speed limit 45 mph.
Sheldon Rd north of 5 Mile
Cop sits in the driveway of the CVS pharmacy on the east side of Sheldon Rd north of 5 Mile. See him there early morning hours, usually around 5:30 AM.
Beck Road between 5 and 6 Mile
Usually in the morning hours, a car will sit on the northbound side either in the driveway of Commercial Bank, or a little further north in the driveway of the condos across from Community Park. I leave for work about 5:15 a.m., so it’s dark out, and he will be there waiting for the 3 or 4 cars that are out that early.
