Novi, Michigan Speed Traps

Almost everytime I drive down this stretch of road, I see a police car. The speed limit is too low for this stretch of road and most people are unaware until they get caught. Especially since it changes mid way to Grand River going north.

The road in the novi town center – shopping mall – is posted 25 mph in the back of the mall its very wide and thus people tend to drive faster than that. Police will even pull you over if your not breaking the speed limit. Anyone that read this in the novi area should refrain from shopping there.

Anywhere on M-5, Mostly in Novi, the cops will sit on the side clocking you, M-5 is easy to go fast so be careful, Ive seen them hide infront of disabled cars left on the side of the road.

Every morning I drive down Grand River Avenue coming from 96 and as soon as I turn off of Novi Road onto Grand River it is a ridiculous 40MPH zone until after you are 100 yards past the new bridge. This is the trap! The officers hide in Harold’s Frame shop or just past in one of the drives (on the right) or they hide (on the left)in the entrance for the subdivision. The way the bridge is constructed, it is the perfect place for them to nail you! You can easily get busted for going 5MPH over and many of my co-workers have. It’s just way to easy money for Novi police.

South bound 13 mile as you cross Novi Rd. The speed goes from 40 to 35 to 25 to 30 all within a 1/4 mile. You will get ticked for 2 mph over but they tell you you will not get points if you just pay it. If you go before the court they will issue you points if they feel like it.
