Novi, Michigan Speed Traps

Police routinely park front of the “island” in front of the gazebo, which is located in the split entranceway of Crosswinds West Condo Association. Crosswinds is located on the Southside of 9 mile approximately 1/10 mile west of Haggerty. Beware, 9 mile is 35 MPH, and the policy have themselves positioned in such a way that you do not see their car from either East or West bound 9 mile. They are using radar guns and pointing them in both directions.

Speed limit is 25, which is appropriate since this is a residential road. It is also the only convenient east west road in the area, so it has more than average traffic. On many occasions, while I’m doing 25, I have had cop cars on my bumper as if to force / dare me to go faster. I’ve received one ticket on that road.

The Police cars sit in the side streets waiting or off the side of the road by the churches.

They sit in the businesses on the east side of Orchard Hill and get those coming from 8 Mile. The limit is 25 mph and they can definately get yeah. It’s easy to get to 35 mph. Typically AM rush hour.

The speed limit drops to 35 after you pass Catholic Central coming from Grand River. Cops tend to sit in the driveway of the water plant when it gets dark out. You can’t see the car at all coming from 10 mile because the driveway is flanked by trees on that side.
