Omaha, Nebraska Speed Traps
Interstate 480 near 30th street exit
On I-480 right where the devider wall steps over more two to three Opd cars sit there and wait from around 9:00 pm to just about 1:30 am stopping people the only time you do not get stopped is if tey are busy with someone else.
Military Avenue near Benson Park
Coming down the hill towards 72nd St. 2 motorcycle cops set up on the lane leading to the ice rink. They hide behind the tree with lidar guns and step out to direct speeders into the ice rink parking lot. Totally unfair as you are coming down a pretty steep hill by St. Bernards school.
Blondo Street near 60th to 67th Street
Heavy enforcement during the morning rush for the last month. One police car sits on a side street (usually 65th, but it varies) on the north side of Blondo taking radar readings out his window. Several other police cars sit farther ahead waiting to pull over drivers.
W Dodge Street near 120th to 132nd Street
Go west on Dodge St, passing 120th st, after getting past the major construction, the police will set up at the end of the construction area. Since you are in construction zone, the fees really add up. Follow the speed limit from 680 to 132, then go your speed. I have mainly seen the police there around 8 pm to 10pm, but they do random times once in awhile.
108th Street South of West Center Street near 2 blocks south of Prairie Hills Drive/Soth of Rockbrook Village Drive
Omaha police utilize an apartment parking lot parallel to 108th street and perform radar there. The area is approximately 5 blocks south of West Center Road on 108th Street, and the apartment parking lot is on the east side of 108th Street. Most radar focuses on cars heading northbound toward West Center, but have seen the speed trap go both ways.
