Omaha, Nebraska Speed Traps
Dodge Street near 120th-132nd Street
Sitting on the side of streets going both ways. Doesn’t happen often, but when they do they put a huge sting. Most I’ve seen was 7 cop cars and 1 state patrol SUV. Waiting right as you come down the hill going eastbound and right over the hill going West. Patroled by police Chopper Radar occasionally.
121st & Harrison near Interstate Street
Every so often, they setup a little "check point" over there. So be careful! drive safe for the Holidays
102nd Street near Westroads Club
Traveling south on 102nd St from Blondo to Westroads Mall There is a street on the right hand side they will sit there behind a fence or on motorcycle. Limit is 35 but it is very easy to go 45+ on this long flat street. Usually they are there in the morning and on nice days in the afternoon.
Interstate 680
I-680 going south, near I-680 and I-480 junction there will be lanes for exits to West Center Street, "I" Street, "L" Street, and "Q" Street. After driving into the said service lane, the lane contains an island on the right hand side. The trooper will usually be on the island zapping people as the exit lanes has posted speed limit of 50 MPH compared to 60 MPH for the main strech of highway. During the dusk and dawn the darkness of the island can be a good cover for the troopers.
Interstate 80
Cops always sit on I80 going east late at night. Also they like to sit on the 126th and Harrison exit bridge over I80 all the time.
