Omaha, Nebraska Speed Traps

Steady and persistent daytime and early evening enforcement, usually by a single cruiser, along Military between 92nd Ave and North Oaks Blvd. Not at all unusual, at least during Jan. ’06, to see a driver pulled over within that stretch.

Speed Trap at 50 mph zone for I, L, and Q street exits. About once a month OPD likes to pull cars over on the Q street exit.

When turning onto Park Drive off of 96th and Q, you will come around a rather large bend where the speed limit is posted as 20 MPH. As soon as you hit 99th St, immediately to the left there can be 2-3 cruisers posted in an apartment parking lot. You cannot see them when you first come around the curve, and with the posting so low, its almost inevitable to get stopped if you arent aware of them.

The state patrol will sit under an overpass between L Street and Harrison Street and will clock people coming over the hill from the north or from the south. Very sneaky spot

They will be in a black cop car in the middle of the night around Teen Curfuy (12:00-12:30)
