Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps

3 motorcycle cops well hidden to east-bound traffic, were pulling violators off onto a side street out of view of oncoming motorists on 8/16/07. There are frequently traps set there but this was the most ambitious one I have seen.

35 MPH rd on Buffalo from Sahara to Charlston. A 35 mph road section sandiched between 45 mph roads. Rarely during the day. Usually in the evening. Usually 1, on occasion two motorcycle cops. Usually on the Northbound side. And usually between Alta and Charleston, nearby social security building. Most people neglect the 35mph limit and are easy pickings when the cycles are out.

Behind buildings on the corner of Hualapai and Peace Way

between windmill lane and pyle ave on bermuda there are ploice paceing and or radar. speed limit is 35 mph which should be 45 mph. if you go 35 cars just pass you up like nuts. the limit should be 45mph.

On Vegas Dr from Rancho till Buffalo. One or two motorcyles. Can be at any of several locations. They like to hide in the gas station at Cimmeron, one of a few community entrances or in the parking lot near the pak at Rancho. Usually during the day hours, especially int he morning hours. Not usually in the evening but on occasion they have been seen in the evenings also. They are quite efficient at catching the unsuspecting speeders on the 35 mph road. This stretch of road is a big favorite of theirs.
