Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps
Frontage Road near In front of Integrity Chrysler between Rainbow and Jones
At random days, I’ll see 3 or more motorcycle cops posted in front of the Integrity lot shooting radar at people that bypass the 215 and take Frontage. I usually see them there during the morning and afternoon rush hour but they have been there at other times too. They use KA band radars and they get you as soon as you come barreling down the S-curve on frontage.
Twain Avenue near Decatur Boulevard
Speed trap is located between Decatur and Arville and is monitored in both directions. Police are apartments for westbound traffic and are in the trailer park for eastbound traffic.I have seen radar at 3 P.M., 8 P.M., 4 A.M. and 8 A.M..
Sahara Avenue near Paseo Del Prado Street
Going westbound on Sahara as you approach Paseo Del Prado there are 4 westbound travel lanes. Then the one closest to the curb suddenly becomes a right turn only lane. The cops hide in the parking lot just west of the intersection and if your not over quick enough they will stop you and write you tickets for everything they can find. So, make sure your tires are in good shape. They go way overboard. The lane needs to be better marked.
Cabana Street near Between Flamingo and Vegas Valley Streets
There are 3 different areas on Cabana Street cops like to hide and catch you speeding on this street. The speed limit is 35mph. They use a speed checker everytime to catch you. This street is known for speeders. Cabana Street is located between Flamingo and Vegas Valley towards Sunrise Mtn. BY Sams Town. Mostly monitored by motorcycle cops and they are sneaky so watch your speed. There also is 2 huge dips, fair warning go extra slow on those, they damage bottom of car.
Bermuda Road near Serene Avenue
Officer sits at bottom of incline, pulls out like he is going to dart out in front of you but when you brake to give him the right of way he pulls you over and say you were speeding. If you go to court the judge does not hear your case and no officer has to appear. You are trapped into pleading guilty because if you want a trial you must pay $320 and wait months for a court date.
