Reno, Nevada Speed Traps
Interstate 80 W near Interstate 395 S
where 395 S meets I 80 west there is construction so you need to spped up to safely enter I 80 W and continue on west. That is whne they get you. If you don’t spped up you get trapped in the offramp lanes within a quarter mile and have a hard time continuing on west on I 80. You enter a " constrcution zone" the moment you enter I 80 here and then you are zapped and must pay double the speed fine
US Highway 395N near Exit Number Lemmon Valley
Right as you get on to 395N from the lemmon valley on ramp, theres a chain up point, ive seen a few cops there time to time running radar. i mainly see them after about 7pm. i belive it is beacuase it is about a 1/4 mile then the Stead off ramp.
Interstate 80 near Robb Drive
NHP loves to sit near the overpasses and treat our incoming tourists to a chance to leave behind a little extra cash.
Plumb Lane
Motorcycle cops sit on side streets and on the dirt sides in 25MPH Zone on this heavily traveled street. On one side is McCarren (55MPH) and on the other side is the 4-lane part of Plumb (35MPH). Heavy traffic at almost any time of day.
Sutro Ave
Since a pedestrian was ran over at the crosswalk, the motorcycle cops have targeted this area. They sit at the stop sign on a cross street, or in the church parking lot. This is between 9th street and Oddie. Apparently they only watch the crosswalk because I’ve seen the cop frequently motioning with his hands to slow down, however, if you are the lone car you may be targeted. The pedestrians in Reno do not look for cars because of their arrogance so if you see a pedestrian near a crosswalk assume they will literally jump out in front of you. (It’s no wonder the increase of ped’s deaths in Reno since their aggressive crosswalk enforcement, law enforcement encourages ped’s to act irrationally by only targeting cars).
