California Ave
The motorcycle cops sit around the bend by all the big houses, nearing Arlington Ave. A lot of speeders but seldom see a car pulled over.
Wells Ave/2nd st
Watch for the motorcycle cops on either side of the bridge between 2nd and 6th streets on Wells. Even though they are in the open, they blend in with the mess of signs.
keystone ave near first st.
motorcycle cops love sitting at the bottom of the bridge getting people heading north, also Just the other day I saw a motorcycle cop sitting right next to the bridge using radar on cars going south. first time I have ever seen this.
Mt. Rose Highway Eastbound to 395
Going downhill from Galena to the 395 Freeway, the speed limit is an unrealistic 55mph suddenly slowing to 50mph just after the Chevron station on the leFort It is not unusual to find 2 or 3 Nevada Highway Patrol cars pulling people over. Make sure you slow to 50 at the sign, which is easy to miss on the right. Good revenue raiser for the overstaff NHP
NW Reno on McCarran Blvd. at San Rafel Park
Esp. Going East, as you top the hill around San Rafael Park, I often see one or two motorcycle cops hiding back off the edge of the road. I’ve been lucky, usually see the sun reflect off their helmets in time to slow down.
