Moana Ln. and Kietzke Ln. Intersection
Motorcycle teams watch the intersection for yellow light and speeding infractions. There is also a motor cop that sits under the U.S. Hwy. 395 and Moana Ln. overpass and watches traffic exiting U.S. Hwy. 395 south onto Moana Ln. for speeding and yellow lights. Almost everyday around noon time traffic.
Urban Rd. between S. Arlington Ave. and Plumas St.
This street is a short cut to cross over between two main streets (S. Arlington Ave. and Plumas St.). It is residential and 25mph. Motorcycle cops are often on side streets to enforce limits, especially when residents complain of speeding motorists.
South Meadows and Wilbur May Parkway Intersection
During summer months a motorcycle leo hangs out just off the road and writes many tickets for rolling “boulevard” stops for motorists traveling east on South Meadows pkwy. Also watch yourself in the new 15 mph zone at the middle school on Wilbur May, same motorcycle leo sits across from school writing tickets.
I-80 Eastbound entering Reno
NHP car sits in the median, low grade makes him invisible until it’s too late. Fishing for passers through and trucks off the grade.
Plumb Ln & Yori Ave
Mostly eastbound traffic, motor cops nail speeders sometime 2-3 at a time, and typically work in pairs. Speed limit is 30, there is a school crossing.
