Buffalo, New York Speed Traps
33 Expressway near Eggert Road
If you are outbound on the 33, there is a police car (Buffalo/State Trooper) sitting on the on ramp from Eggert Rd Entrance. You dont see them until you already pass them. I have seen them there numerous times. The worst part is it is technically Cheektowaga by the welcome sign, but yet a Buffalo Cop pulls you over.
Exchange Street near Exchange & Chicago / Exchange & Hydrolic Street
City Police cars will sit on the corners of Chicago St. and/or Hydrolic St. by the Larkin Bldg. Exchange St. is a straight run and its easy to go above the speed limit of 30 mph. They hide on the side and you cannot see them until you are right on top of them , but they can see you coming well in advance to know if you are speeding or not. Its best to just do the speed limit at least one block or more from these intersections just to make sure they are not there. I have seen them there 3 out of 5 days a week , just sitting and watching traffic. Be careful.
US Highway Millersport near Sheridan Road
An amherst cop usually sits in the small shopping center on millersport located between sheridan and bailey (btwn north/south campus. Its the shopping center on your right side, close to sheridan drive, when driving from south to north. Usually in the far corner of the lot, lights off pointed at on coming(north campus bound) traffic…..
Interstate 190 near Porter Ave Exit
They hide on Interstate 190 N along side the overpass of Porter Ave .Just after the Porter St exit.Tucked in real nice to the right and you’ll never see them til its to late.
Colvin Boulevard near Kenmore Avenue
Police cars may be barely hidden from view at several intersections from Kenmore Avenue all the way to Sheridan Drive. Kenmore police are infamous for giving very little leeway above the posted limit. Note that if you are ticketed this is the Town of Tonawanda and you will be able to do traffic school to avoid getting points.
