I-490 WEST throughout dowtown, permanent 40 MPH zone, Troopers regularly in shoulder around curves
Frequently on weekend days, The sight of a Navy Blue NYS trooper Camaro or Crown Vic is not uncommon at all. Beware coming around corners in this windy yet still physically safe to exceed the posted limit. The troopers are only out on nice days from spring to fall. The angles of incidence from the Radar or Lidar are questionable to get accurate readings. Radar is predominate form of speed detection, but there is significant X band interference from surrounding area.
