Rochester, New York Speed Traps
104W & Clinton Ave N
Police car likes to sit on the inclined embankment for the Clinton Ave on ramp, which is right behind the Clinton Ave overpass, impossible to see until it is too late for people traveling 104W. So check you speed when you approach.
I-590S & Monroe Ave. East Exit
Patrol car likes to sit (car monitoring 590S) right after the bend in the road on 590S, right after the guardrail ends between the two Monroe Avenue exits.
590S & Highland Ave On ramp
Patrol car likes sit in the grassy knoll next to the Highland Ave. entrance ramp onto 590S, the car will be point directly at oncoming traffic. (If you are traveling 590S, the spot is past the Highland Ave. overpass on the right side).
Edgewood Ave & I-590
NYSP/BPD like to sit behind the Edgewood overpass to catch people traveling on 590N. There are no street lights in this area of 590, so at night be very careful. You’re not going to see them until it’s to late. I don’t see them there very often, but they are there often enough that the ground has turned to dirt where they like to sit. Forewarned is forearmed.
I-390 & I-590
Police sit under the overpass exchanges of 390 and 590. You need to be careful both directions, since they monitor both ways. Very difficult to see, so check you speed before approaching.
