I-240 and I-40
Just noticed a few days ago cameras on I-40 I-240 and in the city of asheville Im asuming there traffic camera not sure but wanted to give a heads up on them if so.
240 Bypass going East, before it joins I 40.
Be careful before you enter I 40 East, don’t speed up to adjust to 65 mile limit. Remember, the limit on 240 Bypass is still 55 miles/hr. Be extra careful towards the end of the month.
I-26 from Asheville to south of Hendersonville, esp airport area (mi 13)
Speed limits on I-26 are reasonable, and cops don’t seem to be writing ticket just to make a buck. BUT this section of I-26 is heavily patrolled with both stealthy and completey UNMARKED cars. Look out for Crown Vics and a couple Camaros with no light bars. May have a door insignia (St. Trooper) or NO external markings. Look for 2 or 3 antennas (one long) and flashers behind front and rear windshield. Be particularrly cautious around the airport exit (13) and rest area just south, where they may be in median or rest area.
